Dad and Virginia had a great time with their tomato project this year. The one they are picking here went on to contribute to a wonderful BLT!

Those of you that follow Virginia's blog will see this there, too. I don't know which one of us loves the picture more! "Whistle Me Home" was originally on the boys' Highlights magazine from several years back. Virginia was a little girl then, but I thought that she might look like this young lady one day. Guess what? She does!

What a Life!
This is our cat, Helen. We call her "Little Cat" most of the time because she is so little, particularly compared to our kitty, Clara. We acquired her from the grocery store--she was the last of a litter. Little Cat loves to sleep (all cats do!). Virginia took this great picture of her sleeping on our couch.

Dig'n Dinos

Last night, we were going to have our coloring party after supper, but Ima Virginia fell fast asleep on the couch. She was sleeping so soundly, I hated to wake her; we just covered her with her favorite blanket and let her snooze. I asked the boys what they wanted to do and they asked to play a game. James Martin went to the game closet and pulled out a beloved favorite--a dinosaur version of Monopoly junior. We had a blast!
We played this so much when they were little boys, but all of the pieces are still there in the worn box.
When I was a little girl, my Papa and Granny would come over and play cards and bingo with Daddy, Moma and me. I will never forget those sweet times. Here's hoping our kids will hold these game nights dear as well.

Time for a Coloring Party!
I think that tomorrow night is a perfect time for one of our coloring parties. Virginia and can pull out our Raggedy Ann coloring books, and the boys can get out their Star Wars and train books. After supper and Bible reading, we'll pull out the crayons, markers and colored pencils. I will try to get some pictures! I can't wait!
